Our vision and Philosophy on Education
Being sensitive and understanding of every student’s unique learning styles and needs is important in building positive and long-lasting relationships between educators and students. The importance of differentiation in teaching, providing positive encouragement and ongoing feedback to maintain motivation, and fostering a lifelong love for learning should always be at the forefront of lesson planning, daily teaching, and reflection time. Remembering to engage student curiosity through fun and interactive lessons is a key component in building and maintaining a lifelong learner and is exactly what we strive for here at Lifelong Learner Tutoring!
Who is Mr. T?
Hello everyone. My name is Daryl Tuttle, also known to my students as Mr. T. I’m a Canadian who has taught overseas and locally for twenty years. During my experiences abroad, I have been an educator in public, private, and Ib international schools in Singapore and China with young learners from grades KG to 5. Guiding and supporting students to become their best academically and socially have always been the paramount objectives in my classroom. During my teaching career, I have taken opportunities to teach students from diverse backgrounds, various cultures, age levels, and language abilities.
Teaching credentials and Training
Combined with my Bachelor of Education degree and valid provincial teaching license in Canada, my educational background includes a Lower Elementary Montessori diploma focusing on Montessori theories, TESOL trained and certified to develop language learners. I’ve also engaged myself in learning and becoming more involved in Special Education and Career Counselling areas to support and guide all students and their distinct needs and goals.
